We are very proud of the children who took part in the National Children’s Choir this year. The performance took place in the University Concert Hall on 18th May.

Visit from the mayor

We were delighted to have a visit from Mayor O’ Hanlon on Monday April 24th. He spoke to the children and encouraged everyone to actively participate in keeping Limerick clean and to to be kind to all citizens. The children were delighted to see the mayor’s robes and chains which are over two hundred years old.

GAA skills

All children are busy developing their GAA skills. Infants to second are working on football skills, while third to sixth are doing hurling on Wednesdays with coaches from the GAA. 

Green School

Ms. Wall from An Taisce visits the school regularly to help with the next Green Flag. The children began working on the next flag in September, and it will be two years before the committee can apply for the next flag. The next flag is the travel flag. 

National Children’s Choir

The children from fourth to sixth are busy learning a large repertoire of songs. They will perform in the Concert Hall in Limerick on Thursday May 18th. They have been learning songs in Irish, English and Latin so far. One of the favourite songs of many children is Queen’s ‘Don’t stop me now’.
